Bob says: I've now spent a year at Unisys, and I'm still enjoying working there. The hardest part has been all the travel: nine trips to Philadelphia, eight trips to Minneapolis, seven trips to Orange County, a couple to Washington DC, one to Japan, and an around-the-world marathon that included Australia, India, England, the Netherlands, and France. It was really too much time away from home and from family. There's been little or no time for vacations or hobbies.

Still, the hardest thing all year was resisting the temptation to bring home that tabby cat in the photo above from Timberlock in August!

Martha says: My volunteer work in the New England Quilt Museum library continues and I made a few quilts this year to mark the milestones of friends and family.  I'm excited to have Ben and Lori back in Massachusetts and Jon and Larissa right around the corner.  This summer I researched osteoporosis, got off all prescriptions, and stopped worrying about it.  If you'd like to hear more about that, let me know.  A recent water leak upstairs has spurred me to empty my first floor study of 32-years-worth of papers and fabrics so the walls and ceiling can be repaired.  It will take weeks to go through all that stuff and recycle much of it, but it’s an adventure to discover forgotten items I haven’t seen in ages.

Ben says:  2009 has been an eventful year, as always. It has actually flown by! Lori started vet school at Tufts in August and is well on her way to becoming Dr. Doolittle. She's enjoying being a student again (mostly when she's NOT in exams) and looking forward to working on animal health issues related to China. Ben had another exciting year with Laminar Research, which has experienced an influx of new users since our release of X-Plane for the iPhone. We are thrilled to be living back up in MA, spending more time with family on both sides, and getting plenty of exercise for Cece at the many dog-friendly parks around Tufts.

Jonathan says: We've moved back to Carlisle this year, and with Ben and Lori in Westborough, that's put the immediate family all in close reach of each other, which is a wonderful change. The dogs are loving the bigger yard-- perhaps a little too much-- we can't take Jade off the leash as she likes to go into the woods looking for deer. The cats are also enjoying having the entire lower floor as well as some of the bedrooms as a dog-free zone. Jonathan's company shipped Slingo Mystery, which did well despite being a much more ambitious project than the usual fare. Larissa's company is in the final stages of a push to ship their next product. Very stressful. Jonathan is singing in the temple choir. Larissa's D&D campaign wrapped up. Timberlock was good this year, though just like Dad, we really wanted to take home another kitty.
